Lutterworth Golf Club est. 1904

Dress Code

Whilst Lutterworth Golf Club aims to promote a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, we do seek to maintain an acceptable standard of dress, both on the course and in the clubhouse. You should be aware that anyone not complying with the Dress Code may be asked to leave the course or clubhouse.

Standard of Dress

Members and visitors should be appropriately dressed for the occasion.   In order to maintain a reasonable standard of dress on the course and in the clubhouse, some examples (but obviously not all) of acceptable and unacceptable dress are provided below.   Casual attire may be worn at private functions.   Team captains should advise team members and visiting team captains of post match dress requirements.

Acceptable Examples

Jackets and ties, or smart casual clothes, including clean golf wear (excluding golf shoes) may be worn in the clubhouse at any time.  Recognised golf and casual wear may be worn on the course.  Shirts should be tucked into shorts/trousers.   Tailored shirts designed to be worn outside of trousers may be worn in the clubhouse.  Gentlemen may wear tailored shorts with knee length or light coloured sports socks.

Guidance on ladies golf wear is detailed in the Ladies Locker Room.

Unacceptable Examples

T-shirts; singlets; sweaters with slogans that could be considered to be offensive; tracksuits; trainer socks with shorts; stocking feet and shoes without socks (men), blue denim jeans and trainers.

Departure from Dress Code

To facilitate events such as golf taster sessions, the Committee may authorise relaxation from the Dress Code.

Mobile Telephones

These should be switched off whilst on the course.   When in the clubhouse, telephones should be set to silent and any necessary calls should be made in the foyer.

General

It is the responsibility of all members to ensure that the Dress Code is complied with.
