From Your Captain.
What a great 7 months of my Captain’s year I have had so far.
I was told to enjoy every minute and this I have been trying to do!
181 members enjoy Captains Day
Captain’s Day on Saturday June 15th has probably been the highlight of my year.
It saw 181 members, both men and ladies playing in a stableford competition.
I arrived to see the first 4 ball out at 6.45 am, right through to the last 4 ball in the afternoon.

All those who took part and for making the day a great success.
I would also like to personally thank Keith Houchen for his generous donation
of £100 to the junior fund. As you are no doubt aware Keith had a hole in one on
the 4th, but perhaps what you don’t know is that Keith had not entered himself in
the twos – so this gesture is even more generous.
Results
The overall winner with a terrific score of 40 was Terry Rogers. The gross winner was Andy Potts playing off 1 with a score of 70.
The ladies winner was Jane Lewis with 38 points, and the Junior winner was Josh Holmes with 32 points.
Congratulations to you all.
And after...
Thanks also to those who managed to down a few pints and at the same time supporting LOROS, raising £109 from the beer sales.
I Did It My Way
After the presentations a good number of us stayed to eat and were entertained by “Frank Sinatra.”
Eighteen hours had flown by almost without a hitch. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and hope you did as well.
