Whilst Lutterworth Golf Club aims to promote a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, we do seek to maintain an acceptable standard of dress, both on the course and in the clubhouse. You should be aware that anyone not complying with the Dress Code may be asked to leave the course or clubhouse.
Standard of Dress
Members and visitors should be appropriately dressed for the occasion. In order to maintain a reasonable standard of dress on the course and in the clubhouse, some examples (but obviously not all) of acceptable and unacceptable dress are provided below. Casual attire may be worn at private functions.
Smart casual clothes, including clean golf wear may be worn in the clubhouse at any time. Clean golf shoes may be worn in snooker room area up to the Captain’s bell.
Recognised golf and casual wear may be worn on the course.
Shirts should be tucked into shorts/trousers. Tailored shirts designed to be worn outside of trousers may be worn in the Clubhouse.
Gentlemen may wear tailored shorts with socks suitable for golf.
Guidance on ladies golf wear is detailed in the Ladies Locker Room.
T-shirts; singlet’s; sweaters with slogans that could be considered to be offensive; tracksuits; stocking feet and shoes without socks (men) and trainers, however, trainers are allowed for under 12’s.
Departure from Dress Code
To facilitate events such as golf taster sessions, the Committee may authorise relaxation from the Dress Code.
Mobile telephones should be switched off whilst on the course. When in the clubhouse, telephones should be set to silent and any necessary calls should be made in the Foyer.
